Beach Bums

We just returned from our summer vacation to Florida, where we spent a wonderful week with the kids' grand- parents and great- grand mother. I even tried parasailing (I had to... my grandmother was doing it and I had to keep up with her!) It was AMAZING.

This was Princess's first trip to a beach, and she loved it. She did frequently eat sand, though, which makes for very interesting diaper changes.

Oh, that sounds like so much fun! I have never been para-sailing...always wanted to! Aren't you glad your little sweety didn't have to have a cast on her leg while y'all were there! That would have made the beach a little less fun. What part of FL were you in?

It looks like you guys had a blast! I am glad that Princess didn't have to have a cast for your trip. Para-sailing would be a lot of fun; I wish I had gone when I had the chance--maybe next time!

We were in Daytona Beach... powdered-sugar sand and postcard perfect!

The cast thing... yeah. We would not have even been able to take her out on the beach, because if one teeny tiny grain of sand got down in there, well... I asked the doc to hold off on her spine casting until after our 4th of July beach trip to Galveston.

Hey Susan, I found your blog on Amber's blog, I just had to find out who had the 3 monkeys and the little princess! You're kiddos are getting soooo big!!! It is so good to catch-up through your blog! I didn't realize your Princess was having so many trials already in life! She sure looks happy, though! What a beautiful little face!
